August Update

Welcome to the latest news from CareRooms.

NHS Expo 2018

Our team have recently returned from the NHS Health and Care Innovation Expo 2018, which took place in Manchester on the 5th and 6th September.

The CareRooms Team at the NHS Expo

As well as demonstrating some of the technology used in our CareRooms to monitor the health and wellbeing of our Guests, we were able to speak with around 150 conference attendees, including NHS Trusts, charities and other companies looking to help us grow.

Perhaps the greatest success of the event was having the opportunity to share our story to help people understand that we are offering both an alternate option to extended hospital stays and respite for long-term carers. We look forward to attending the Expo again in 2019.

Growing the CareRooms Team

In August we welcomed Stacey, our new Marketing Coordinator, to the team. Stacey will be working on raising awareness of CareRooms, with a focus on brand, events, and sharing new content on social media. If you aren’t already following us, you can find us on FacebookTwitter and LinkedIn.

We’ve also recruited a Host Relationship Coordinator who will be looking after our Hosts in Surrey. They will be joining us in October, so we’ll introduce them then.

We’re seeking Hosts in Surrey

We’ve previously written about the exciting conversations we’ve been having with NHS Trusts around the UK, and are pleased to announce that we will be supporting hospitals in Surrey.

We are now accepting Hosts in Surrey, so if you live in the area and are interested in becoming a Host, please get in touch. You’ll need to have a spare bedroom with access to it’s own bathroom, be friendly and welcoming, and be able to heat three meals a day. We will provide you with training and support, pay you a rental income, and provide independent care and medical support services to your Guest.
